It is with regret we can confirm that club captain Danny Galbraith will be leaving the club at the end of next month when his contract expires on 30th June. When Danny signed for Gala Fairydean Rovers two years ago he immediately bought in to the clubs ambitions and the style of play Gala are renowned for.
We were rewarded with some excellent performances from his midfield role and his professionalism rubbed off on everyone at the club. Under his captaincy, the club climbed up the Lowland League table and who knows where we would have finished if the season had not been brought to an abrupt end due to COVID-19 lockdown.
We as a club tried everything in our power to keep Danny but unfortunately we were not successful. However, we want to thank him for his two years service to the club and we wish him well for the future.
