GRETNA RE-VISIT
GRETNA and Gala Fairydean Rovers will try for a second time to play their Lowland League fixture scheduled to take place at Raydale Park. Last time a floodlight failure meant the game was abandoned even before a ball was kicked. After a welcome 3-2 victory away to Edinburgh University on Saturday, Gala will hope to keep their progress up the table if a similar victory can be achieved at Gretna. Kick off at Raydale Park on Saturday is 3pm.
AWAY DAY
GALA Fairydean Rovers Amateurs face an away day across to the back pitches at Netherdale on Saturday to play Melrose. After last week's 2-1 defeat at home to Tweeddale Rovers Colts, the team will be aiming to bounce back quickly. Kick off at Netherdale is 2pm.
2007 SQUAD
The Under 13s departed from the Scottish Cup but not after putting up a spirited display against Portobello - who are from a division above - and eventually lost 3-0. This Sunday there is a local derby in the George Salmon Cup. Peebles are the visitors to the 3G Arena for an 11am kick off.
2006 SQUAD
The under 14s progressed into the fourth round of the Scottish Cup with a 6-1 victory against Elgin Star from Dunfermline. Scorers for Gala were Oliver McLymont (2), Mathew Beaton, Finlay Downie, Mathew Palmer and Callum Tait. The team now eagerly await the draw which means they can play a team home or away from any team in Scotland. There is no scheduled game this weekend.
2005 SQUAD
The under 15s play Currie Star FC at home in the Federation of Hearts Supporters Cup this Sunday. Kick off at the Netherdale 3G Arena is 12.30pm.
2004 SQUAD
The under 16s host Spartans FC Reds in a league match this Sunday. Kick off at the Netherdale 3G Arena is 2p.m.
2003 SQUAD
The under 17s went down 2-0 away to Dundee West in the Scottish Cup on Sunday. They are back in cup action this Saturday facing Blackburn United in the South East Region Sportsassist Cup. Kick off at the Netherdale 3G Arena is 1pm.
LOTTO
There was one winning ticket in the Gala Fairydean Rovers Lotto draw which belonged to the George Bruce Noble syndicate which paid out £2,000.
The numbers were 5, 18 and 19.
BONUS BALL
No-one had number 40 in the Gala Fairydean Rovers Bonus Ball Competition which means there is a £50 rollover prize this weekend.
