SEASON OVER
The 2019-19 season is officially for Gala Fairydean Rovers after Saturday's 3-1 defeat in the Lowland League Cup quarter final against BSC Glasgow at the Netherdale 3G Arena. The visitors are now favourites to lift the cup. The final will take place at Edinburgh University's Peffermill ground on Sunday, May 19, at 2p.m.The players and coaching staff of Gala Fairydean Rovers will now have a short break before resuming training next month to prepare for the 2019-20 campaign. A full list of pre-season friendlies will be announced when the fixtures are confirmed.
PLAYER OF THE YEAR
The annual Gala Fairydean Rovers Player of the Year function for both the first and second teams will take place in the clubrooms this Saturday starting at 4pm. The awards will be presented at 6.30p.m. All welcome.
2006 SQUAD
The under 13s were in tremendous form at the Netherdale 3G Arena on Sunday defeating title rivals Tynecastle FC Whites 6-0. The Gala scorers were Oliver McClymont 2, Shane Bell 2, Sam Ostle and Ewan McLaren. The under 13s play Dalkeith Thistle at the Netherdale 3G Arena on Thursday kick off 7.35p.m. and are at home again on Sunday when they play Spartans FC Reds, kick off 11.30am.
2005 SQUAD
The under 14s defeated Currie Star in a league match away from home on Sunday. No fixture this weekend.
LOTTO
There were no winning tickets in the Gala Fairydean Rovers Lotto draw at the weekend. The numbers were 2, 11 and 13. That means the estimated jackpot this weekend will be £1,000.
BONUS BALL
The winner of the Gala Fairydean Rovers Bonus Ball competition at the weekend was Lee Martin with number 41 which paid out £25.
50/50 DRAW
The winner of the Gala Fairydean Rovers 50/50 Half Time Draw at Saturday's cup tie v BSC Glasgow was Billy Oliver from Galashiels who won £70.
