AWAY DAY
GALA Fairydean Rovers are on the road again this weekend for a Lowland League fixture away to Cumbernauld Colts. Colts won in the opening game of the season at Netherdale and another tight match is anticipated. A supporters bus will be running to Saturday's league match at Broadwood Stadium, departing from the Netherdale clubrooms at 11.45am. Cost of the return journey is only £6.
HOME GAME
For stay-at-home supporters, there is an intriguing match on the cards at the Netherdale 3G Arena on Saturday. Gala Fairydean Rovers Amateurs host Selkirk Victoria in a Border Amateur C Division fixture. Kick off is 2pm. Last Saturday, GFR Ams drew 3-3 at St Boswells with Declan Bell, Martin Gibson and Tom Alderson on the scoresheet.
2006 SQUAD
FIVE goals from Harris Fairgrieve was the highlight of the under 13s 6-2 win away to Musselburgh Windsor in the Edinburgh Cup on Sunday. This Sunday the team is away to Haddington Athletic in the Challenge Cup.
2005 SQUAD
A double from Russell Kerr was enough to secure the under 14s a hard-fought 2-1 win at home to Currie Star on Sunday. This Sunday the team is away to Edinburgh South CFC in the Willie Bauld Cup.
2004 SQUAD
FINLAY Wheelans scored an incredible seven goals for the under 15s in their 9-1 win at home to Edinburgh City FC on Sunday. The other scorers were Sam McClymont and Aidan Purves. This Sunday the under 15s host Currie FC. Kick off at the Netherdale 3G Arena is 12noon
2003 SQUAD
PLAYING in arguably the hardest league in Scotland, the under 16s continue to work hard and develop. The team gave a good account of themselves but eventually lost out 8-2 to Hutchison Vale at the Netherdale 3G Arena on Sunday. The Gala scorers were Harris Wright and Sam Derrick. This Sunday the team are at home to Leith Athletic Colts. Kick off is 2pm
LOTTO
THERE were no winning ticket numbers in the Gala Fairydean Rovers Lotto draw. For the record the numbers were 8, 14 and 18. The estimated jackpot next week is £600.
