NOTICE TO SPECTATORS

Due to restoration works on our Historic Scotland A-Listed Stand here at Netherdale, it has unfortunately become necessary for the seating area to be closed off to spectators until a programme of intrusive structural surveys have been completed.

The timescale for these works to be concluded is late January or early February of 2019.

The club would like to apologise for the inconvenience to our supporters and other visitors to the 3G Arena, however the Health and Safety of the public is the number one priority of everyone at Gala Fairydean Rovers Football Club.

The football club are working in partnership with Scottish Borders Council and Live Borders on a restoration of the iconic stand designed by renowned architect Peter Womersley.

We have been in touch with the Scottish Football Association and the Lowland League to make them aware of the situation and both organisations are understanding of the health and safety advice that has led to the temporary closure.

The club will continue to play at Netherdale throughout the process of the survey work and the internal areas of the stand, including the bar, Board Room, public toilets and dressing room areas will remain open and unaffected by the work.

The club are dropping entry prices to the 3G Arena for the duration of the time that the seated area remains closed and will make contingency arrangements to seat anyone who is elderly or infirm and requires to sit down to watch a match.

We would encourage supporters who require seating to get in touch with the club in advance of matches they will be attending to assist us in our preparations.

Finally we would advise supporters to dress for the weather.
