HOME GAME
CUMBERNAULD COLTS are the visitors to the 3G Arena at Netherdale this Saturday for a Lowland League fixture. After their 1-0 win over East Kilbride at the weekend, Colts will no doubt be tough opposition. Buy buoyed by an impressive performance against East Stirlingshire on Saturday, Gala Fairydean Rovers will be looking to get back to winning ways.
Premier Club cards apply for this match. Otherwise the admission prices are £5 for adults and £3 concessions.
Kick off on Saturday is 3pm.
DOUBLE HEADER
GFR Amateurs have a double header coming up. On Wednesday evening they host Langlee Amateurs in the semi final of the Collie Cup.
Kick off at the 3G Arena is 7.45pm.
Please note the bar will be open on Wednesday evening and will be showing the Aberdeen v Celtic match on the big screens
On Saturday, GFR Amateurs travel to play Ancrum in a league fixture. Kick off 2pm.
2005 SQUAD
It's a big day on Sunday for the under 13s with Glenbrae Colts YFC from Paisley visiting the 3G Arena for a Scottish Cup third round tie. Kick off is 2pm.
2004 SQUAD
The under 14s went down to a narrow 2-1 defeat away to Musselburgh Windsor Blues on Sunday. While not at their best Gala showed enough to suggest they were over their recent slump and were unlucky to be punished on both occasions for individual errors. Finlay Wheelans was the goalscorer while best for GFR were Tor McGillivray and Dougray Seggie.
Next up is a Scottish Cup tie on Sunday away to Petershill Athletic.
2003 SQUAD
The under 15s recorded an impressive 5-2 win away to Musselburgh Young Stars on Sunday.
This Sunday the team is in Scottish Cup action with a visit from Stonehouse BC from Lanarkshire. Kick off at the 3G Arena is 12 noon
2002 SQUAD
The under 16s were unfortunate to go down 3-1 away to Leith Athletic Colts on Sunday.
This Sunday the team plays hosts to Earlston Ryhmers in the Colin Greenhill Memorial Cup. The kick off is 2pm.
Please note this game will take place on the Netherdale back pitches.
IMPORTANT MEETING
ANYONE interested in helping with the development of youth football in Galashiels is invited to an important meeting this Sunday evening.
Following the mergers of Gala Fairydean Rovers Juniors and Gala Fairydean Rovers Youths, a new committee and office bearers need to be appointed. The new club will be named Gala Fairydean Rovers Football Academy and will cater for youngsters aged between five and 17 years old.
At Sunday's meeting nominations will be invited for the following positions -

Registration Secretary Junior
Registration Secretary Youth
Treasurer/finance
Gift Aid Secretary
Head of Coaching Development
Club Development officer
Facility and pitch co-ordinator

A number of people have already expressed an interest in taking positions so please do not be put off coming in case you think you will be forced to take a role as this will not be the case. The meeting will take place in the clubrooms of Gala Fairydean Rovers FC on Sunday at 6.30pm.
LOTTO
HOW difficult can it be? Select three numbers between one and 20(inclusive), hand over £1 per ticket and then win the jackpot. But yet again the prize in the Gala Fairydean Rovers Lotto draw has gone unclaimed. The numbers were 3, 5 and 11. That means the estimated jackpot this weekend will be £1400. Tickets will be on sale in the clubrooms on Wednesday evening, Saturday and Sunday(up until 2pm.

NEIL McDougall was the winner of the weekly Gala Fairydean Rovers FC Bonus Ball competition with number 32 which had a prize of £25.
EARLY KICK OFF
DUE to maintenance work on their floodlights, Dalbeattie Star have brought forward the kick off time for the match against Gala Fairydean Rovers on Saturday, November 4. The Lowland League fixture will now kick off at 2pm. A supporters bus will be running to this match. Details to follow.
