GFR WEEKLY UPDATE


AWAY DAY

GALA Fairydean Rovers are on the road again this Saturday with a trip to play University of Stirling at the Falkirk Stadium. Kick off is 3pm for this Lowland League fixture.

A supporters bus will be running to this match departing from the clubrooms at 12 noon. The cost of the return journey is £6.

HOME GAME

GFR Amateurs play their first match in the Border Amateur League C Division this Saturday. Tweeddale Rovers Colts are the opposition at the 3G Arena, kick off 2pm.

AGM

The annual general meeting of Gala Fairydean Rovers FC will take place in the clubrooms on Monday, August 28, at 7.30pm.

Premier Club members are invited to attend.

2005 SQUAD

The under 13s enjoyed a comfortable victory at North Berwick on Sunday. This Sunday the team is at home to Arniston Rangers. Kick off at the 3G Arena is 11am.

2004 SQUAD

The U14s flew out of the starting blocks with a fantastic display to beat Lochend YFC 9-4 in Edinburgh on Sunday. An excellent performance from the whole squad and in particular Dylan Ellins and Sam McClymont who bossed the midfield, Finlay Wheelans, Gregor Collins and Finn Douglas who marked his GFR debut with a terrific display and five goals. Cammy Riddell, Gregor Collins (2) and Finlay Wheelans were the other goal scorers.

The team host Leith Athletic Colts on Sunday. Kick off at the 3G Arena is 12.30pm.

2003 SQUAD

The under 15s recorded an impressive 4-2 victory over Edinburgh City at the 3G Arena on Sunday. Goals from Adrian Kulik(3) and Josh Akrigg secured the points.

This Sunday the team is away to Musselburgh Windsor Blues. Transport times to be confirmed at training.

2002 SQUAD

In an entertaining and hard-fought match, the under 16s went down to 2-1 to Edinburgh South at the 3G Arena on Sunday. Blair Turner scoring the GFR goal.

This Sunday the team is at home to Longniddry Villa Whites. Kick off at the 3G Arena is 2pm.

LOTTO

There were no winning tickets in the Gala Fairydean Rovers Lotto draw on Sunday. The numbers were 3,9 and 20, this means the estimated jackpot this weekend is £1,000.

BONUS BALL

John Clayton was the winner of the weekly GFR Bonus Ball competition with number 17 which earned him £50.
